There's been a lot of mixed thoughts as to whether Tito Ortiz was likely to face Lyoto Machida at UFC 84 in April.
Renato "Babalu" Sobral last week spoke out about the possible match-up saying:
"I heard that Tito is not going to fight him anymore, so they are going to have to find another opponent for Machida. I got the news a couple of days ago that he was fighting someone else."
Well it now seems that the bout will go ahead as first rumored and that there is in fact an inked deal in place between the two fighters. In an interview with Lyoto's manager, Ed Soares, Soares confirmed that he'd already had talks with the UFC match maker Joe Silva with the bout being very much on the cards in accordance with their inked deal.
With Machida looking for a title shot if he's victorious over Ortiz it'll be good to see Tito back in the octagon against a tough opponent like Machida who iscurrently undefeated in his UFC career.
