Kimbo Vs. James Thompson

Ooh this could be the first poll of the forum

Anyway, it's widely believed that James Thompson will be Slice's next opponent for a CBS show:

The very first MMA event to appear on major U.S. network television will feature a main event with Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson (2-0).

Unfortunately, EliteXC never announced his opponent at Saturday's co-promoted show with Strikeforce, which took place at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. The announcement was expected to be made at the event, but instead, Ferguson was called to the cage for a general introduction.

However, according to one report, James Thompson (14-8) could be the guy to face Ferguson in May.

The May 31 EliteXC event takes place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. and airs in Saturday primetime on CBS.

So what say you? Slice or Thompson?

Well, i agree Thompson does have his flaws.. but this is a much better test of Kimbo than his previous hasbeen match-ups - Tank Abbott?

Thompson's an experienced fighter, pretty decent on the ground, so if Kimbo does win (he probably will), it'll help add more credibility to him as a serious fighter.

There's been a lot of rumour and discussion over this fight already - has it even been confirmed by anyone officially yet?

Anyway my money's on Kimbo too, i'd be very surprised if this match last any longer than 2mins tops.

I said Thompson, but he's going to have to take Kimbo down and lay some GnP on him to win. I think he could get a TKO on the ground pretty easy with a guy like Kimbo. If they stay standing, Kimbo may get the best of him.

I haven't heard this confirmed yet but Thompsons crew sure seems to think it's goin' down. IDK, it seems pretty possible minus Thompsons recent loss that should not give him a fight with Mr. Ferguson.

IDK about Thompson, he's been on a rather dismal performance streak lately !

Out of his last 8 fights, he's only 2 & 6, and many of them are TKOs / KOs !

Also lost to "Butterbean" by KO, so I'm gonna say he might be a bit gun shy.

I'm saying KO by Kimbo Slice, even though I'm not a fan of his yet.
