Default BodogFight About to Throw in the Towel?

Looks like BodogFight could soon be coming to an end if these figures are anything to go by. Apparently the company lost a reported $38 million last year (ouch):
Quote:
Most of the company?s employees have been let go, there are no events planned (although they are sponsoring some smaller events), there is no new TV deal, and a recently proposed small budget (with the idea of slowly rebuilding) by Jeff Osborne was turned down.
I guess it's not such a huge loss, but dammit if i wont miss the bodog girls

I wasn't a big fan myself, but you could kinda see it coming couldn't you?

They did have some OK fighters but there was just something about all the hawaiin shirts, bikini clad ladies and fighting..was just a bit weird.

Yeah, like not serious. That was their problem, they weren't serious for how much money they spent. I'm glad personally, now we have less crappy promotions giving MMA a bad name.

Agreed...

Too many of the clownish / WWE style organizations going around.

They'll all fail if they don't compete seriously at the same level of production quality & talent pool that the UFC / WEC delivers.

Serious MMA fans just tune-out to the circus acts, i.e. EliteXC's silly WWE style entertainment effort.

I saw that program a couple of times and just couldn't stand the lame commentary and dancing girls... too WWE for me !
