In a recent interview with Life.ru, Aleksander Emelianenko spoke out about the Hepatitis B rumors and the real reason he was unable to fight at the recent Affliction: Banned event.
Aleks states that there is absolutely nothing wrong with him physically and that he was unable to appear at the Afflcition event simply because he was late.
According to the CSAC Emelianenko was supposed to appear for testing on the 13th, but due to only receiving his Visa on the 14th he was unable to make the appointment. Aleksander travelled to the US on the 15th hoping it all could be straightened out, but the CSAC were not interested.
Aleksander still has three fights left on his contract with Affliction which should out him on Affliction 2 card on October 11th in Las Vegas.
