Marcus Hicks Talks About His Win Over Ed Ratcliff, Wants a Title Shot

Here's a pretty decent interview Marcus Hicks, Hicks talks about his recent win at WEC 33 and wanting to fight for the title.

"I really didn?t have a gameplan. I didn?t think he could handle the pressure that I could put on him. A lot of people look at my height as a disadvantage, but I think it actually helps me because I know how to use my body type to get on the inside."

"I?ve fought a lot of good guys that were at a high level in boxing and that kind of helps with the confidence part of my standup."

"My biggest motivation is me competing against myself and fighting up to my standards."

"He said he wasn?t going to get submitted like that and I wanted to see if I could catch him with it because I figured that he hadn?t worked on that defense. I work on a lot of submissions at practice, but that?s one that comes pretty natural to me."

"It motivated me more because he thought he was going to run right through me. At the end of the day, I?m still a man and I want the same respect that I give."

I think it's only right he gets his shot, he's definitely earned it and i can understand him being pissed off if he doesn't.
